How Much Should a Business Website Actually Cost in India?

4 August 2026 · 5 min read

Ask five agencies to quote the same small business website and you'll get five wildly different numbers. Some of that gap is genuinely different scope. A lot of it is guesswork, on both sides. Here's what actually moves the price, so you can tell a fair quote from a random one.

Page Count Isn't the Real Driver

Most quotes lead with "how many pages," but a 5-page site with a working booking flow, an image gallery, and pricing logic costs more to build properly than a 10-page site that's mostly static text. What actually drives cost is functionality: booking systems, calculators, filtered galleries, multi-step forms. Ask what each page actually needs to do before comparing quotes on page count alone.

What a Fair Range Looks Like

For a genuine, custom-built small business site (not a templated builder page), ₹15,000 to ₹25,000 is a realistic range for something like a clinic, studio, or clean multi-page business site with a booking flow. Below that range, you're usually looking at a template with your logo swapped in. Above it, you're paying for either genuine custom complexity or agency overhead that has nothing to do with your actual site.

The Hidden Cost Nobody Quotes

The number that matters isn't just the build price, it's what happens after launch. Hosting, a domain renewal, and basic fixes add up over a year. Ask upfront what's included ongoing and what isn't, so the number you agree to today is the number you actually pay.
